Buzz Kidder Kilt Arrives!
This week bought my Buzz Kidder canvas kilt to my door step. I had planned purchasing one in the spring. But this jonesing for my Newsomes was making me desperate when I saw Ted Crocker’s post on Plaid Shirt with Solid Color Kilt.
I broke. I had several flannel plaid shirts in my closet that I would miss wearing if I waited to the spring to get my canvas kilt. And after all, I sold this last summer my solid canvas Utilikilt, mocker. I knew my day job would be giving me a Christmas bonus that would cover the BK.
All what the heck go for another kilt. How many is that since joining this forum? I’m not saying!!
So it was Kilted Friday and taking into account the Christmas theme you see what colors I went with. Okay here’s the frontal.

Chain sporran belt
I had also gone with my order sporran hangers. I found for me they drag the belt down so I changed to my chain sporran belt. (Cavscout should be sending my new leather kilt and sporran belts soon. Darn this Jonesing is expensive.)

kilt pin
Oh yes, I’m following Hamish’s advice and have one kilt pin for each kilt. So here is this one. Recognize it? It’s been my drawer for four years waiting for the proper garment to pin.

And I love the kilt. I like the look of the more traditional kilt. It fits well. The material reminds me of brushed Docker twill. Very nice to the touch and against the b_m. I felt nice and cozy this winter day in Virginia!
On my way home I stopped by the ABC (liquor) store and the lass at the register commented as I left with my purchase . . . "nice kilt by the way!"
I think a navy blue one would be nice… hmmm.

Nice
I saw a Buzz Kidder kilt at a vendor's booth at the last Celtic Festival I attended. It was not my size, and I didn't have the money for it at the time. However, I plan to own one soon, probably the next kilt I buy. I was impressed at the quality and value. No, it isn't a hand-sewn of heavy wool, but for the sorts of things I do, a $400 kilt is more of a liability than an asset.

Glad you got one, there great. I just got a couple more plaid shirts to wear with mine. Hope you enjoy yours.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The Elven Cloak Broach! It works great on your kilt.
And it's very good looking, too. The red shirt goes well. I find the Buzz Kidder Kilts to be a decent kilt for the price.
Though, with each new kilt, it only makes you thirsty for more, doesn't it?
