Congrats! That's a great price.
About the tourie colour, yes the black civilian Glengarries have a matching black tourie as standard.
The military deep blue Glengarries have a scarlet tourie as standard.
Since, as I had mentioned, most of the world's civilian Pipe Bands have a mix of black and blue Glengarries, so too they have a mix of black and scarlet touries.
It's funny how back in, what, 2006, the first time they filmed DVDs of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, the numerous close-ups revealed the best bands in the world with surprisingly random kit.
Every band had a mix of black and blue Glengarries, black and scarlet touries, missing touries, a mix of cap-badges, missing cap-badges, neckties all ahoo, mismatching sporrans, wrinkled kilts, stained kilts, socks high and low, frayed drone cords, missing tassels, tarnished pipes, and every other kind of kit problem imaginable, there in closeup for all to see.
Next year all had been sorted.
Oddly one the most difficult Pipe Band kit issues to keep enforced is tourie colour. No matter what you do, On The Day at least one band member will have a different Glengarry. This is especially true when bands decide to adopt an unusual tourie colour (sky blue, royal blue, lavender, etc). No matter what the band does, On The Day at least one member will have a scarlet or black tourie.
