Body Glide Anti-Chafe vs. Mission Anti-Friction vs. Gold Bond Friction Defense
Love this stuff, made to order for a fat guy like me. Found out about Body Glide first - thanks to this forum. Used it a lot until I couldn't find it in stores but the Mission stuff was there. Worked just as well. Then couldn't find it either (small town living) and went on line to order and saw the Gold Bond so tried some of it too. Have used all three for a long time now. They all do the job well. Not a scientific study - I don't understand half the chemicals in any of them...but I've come to prefer the Gold Bond Friction Defense over the other two. But any of them will do the job.
Your mileage may vary.

Somebody once told me that this stuff is really good for the lad whose knees come together a-knock at every step, but that might have been taking the mick out of one particular school-mate. I've never really understood why this subject keeps on surfacing on our forum, but ho-hum, as long as it doesn't go off-track.

You HAVE to be a skinny guy then....Fat guys get it. I'm grateful I heard about the options here or I'd be in a lot more pain from well....being fat...

Zincofax, is another and cheap alternative and available at any drug or grocery store. You find it in the baby section.
Fraction of the cost of body glide and far better mileage!

Thanks Robert, will look for it. These I tried are "pricey."
And...just to clarify...
I never heard of these products or imagined their existence until I joined this forum. I am most grateful because they have improved my quality of life in small, but effective, ways...including use on my feet which is recommended by all of them.
I truly did have an interest in product comparison and went out of my way to find the other two - was a body glide guy - and compare how they worked for me.
Before posting I did do a search on the forum search and found it had been some time since there had been a thread about this nature of product, was aware we have many new members who probably haven't had time to review all the posts before they joined....so I posted it.
Absolutely no intent to break any rules of propriety or the forum.

I was waiting for this topic to come up. Especially after USA Kilts new videos.
No experience from my side, but I surely suffered from the absence of such a product.

If it works for diaper rash it should work to prevent chaffing of the thighs.
Thanks for the tip.

I was always thin, and then I ballooned a few years ago (life happens). About a year and half ago, I started my current exercise and diet regimen and am now thin and healthy (thank goodness). When I first started walking and exercising, I discovered the chaffing problem. So, I know what you are talking about. Thanks for posting this to help others who may still be GOS (Gentlemen of Substance).
