Flatcaps and kilts....
So really, what's the big deal? Yes, I do realize that I'm a newbie but I think flatcaps are so groovy and look great with just about anything. I'll even wear my flatcap after I get out of the shower and wrap my towel around me. I tell you, now THAT is a smart look! (okay, maybe that last part was a joke... )

Try using the search feature. Here is one of the many threads discussing flat caps:

What it basically boils down to is this: flat caps are not normally worn with kilts, so the traditionalists basically say "That just isn't done."
The non-traditionalists basically say "I can wear whatever I want with my kilt."
Bottom line is that both sides are right. You CAN wear anything you want with a kilt, BUT, if you're trying to do it the way the traditionalists do, you won't wear a flat cap with your kilt.

That does it. I'm buying such a cap AND wearing it with my kilts. Once enough of us do so for long enough, it'll be traditional or even required.

Hmmm...you're not the first to pose this question to me....methinks I may have to take a personal inventory.
