    Welcoming the Season

    Happy Holidays to the Rabble.

The lighting of the tree at the Rock Center in NYC is second only to the lighting of the Washington Monument in Baltimore on the night after. I celebrated the evening with a bevy of friends (one is my better half) at the Engineers' Club, which is located in the same block as the Monument. I am kilted, of course, and in a USA Kilts Celtic Nations - one of Rocky's outstanding designs. Even though this is a "casual" kilt I received many compliments. (I do have a 5 Yard Wool "in the works" and hope to have it sometime during the holidays.)

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Couper and the four lassies! Looks like you were burning the candle at both ends.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

    Thank you.

Yes, but one of the four lassies was helping to keep the flames in check. My wonderful wife of 39 years is directly to my right in the photo. The blonde with the bob hairstyle is her sister and the other two are family friends. It was, indeed, a fun evening where my kilt did attract a lot of conversation - with many compliments. However I only had to field "the question" twice. In both cases I was polite, as usual, but never provided a definitive answer, also as usual.
