Your All Time Favorite Scottish Movie
WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE SCOTTISH MOVIE? Lots to choose from here-- Tunes of Glory, Rob Roy, Tight Little Island, The 39 Steps... the choice is almost endless. So, what's your favorite, and why? My least favorite is Country Dance staring Peter O'Toole. It is simply DREADFUL!

Tunes of Glory, hands down. The attention to detail, the faithfulness to the book (the author was one of the writers of the screenplay) and the acting was first rate.
It is not only my all-time favourite Scottish movie, but my all-time favourite movie, period.
Regards,
Todd

This would've made a great poll question!!
My favorite is Rob Roy with Tunes of Glory and Trainspotting in a close second. My least favorite is Brigadoon, or as I call it, Brigadon't.

Possibly the only one word review of a movie in the history of film! I love it!

Braveheart

I admit it; I'm a plebeian; Braveheart is #1 Scottish, 2nd all time favorite.

Local Hero is near the top, as is That Sinking Feeling, but the top Scots film for me has to be Gregory's Girl. My DVD even comes with an American dubbed soundtrack for those who have trouble with Scottish!
