Warrior Tartan
What is the origin of the "Warrior Tartan"?
Also, is there any pix of it in kilt form?

The "warrior tartan" is simply a fashion tartan. You can see pictures of it in kilt form on Riverkilt's gallery. See page 3.

Thanks Rocky,
I just received some purple Lewis kilt hose from the Scottish Tartans Museum...gonna try them with the purple Warrior tartan soon. Gives me one more option than black.
Probably will only wear the purple hose with the purple kilt when its one of the "wear purple" days for prevention of domestic violence.
But, maybe it'll work regular too.
Gotta tell you, I've had a LOT of compliments from ladies on the Warrior tartan. No clue why. They just seem to like it. Even ladies I work with who've seem me in all my other tartans.

Thanks for the pictures gang...
You have now made my decision more difficult on my first kilt!!!
Now I have to decide of Irish Nat., Stewart Black, OR Warrior...decisions decisions decisions.
As for a Klingon Tartan, I played around w/ that tartan creator and had one that was black, red, grey, and yellow. The way I had the design looked alot like Stewart Black or the Irish Revenge(sportkilt). However, one of my D/FW Klingons wears his black Utilikilt w/ his uniform every now and then.

Might I suggest that Irish National would be best for a first kilt? It would be more versitile than Warrior, which is heavily purple. In addition many kilt maker/sellers carry Irish National and Black Stewart whereas Warrior you will have to go to custom made by the likes of USAKilts or Canadian Casual Kilts.

Which is a GOOD thing. For not much more cash you can get a tailored garment, rather than an off the peg. Just my 0.2.

I agree my first is a SWK and I love it, now that I know kilts are for me the added cost will be well worth it for a kilt made just for me (as long as I can keep a handle on the beer consumption).
