Well I finished up my Xkilt last night!!!! I got done with all of the details and threw it in the washer. This morning when I got up, I put it in the dryer and then went to a job interview!! ( I GOT THE JOB! I've been laid off since about the middle of March)
Any way after I got back from the interview, I grabbed it out of the dryer.I could not believe the amount of wrinkles that were in my Xkilt.
It is made from 100% cotton, 8oz, Khaki twill. I added a cargo pocket, and an under apron pocket. I guess that since I have been a pants man for 40 years, I feel that I need my pockets.
I need to get a proper belt and a pair or two of some kilt hose. Gonna start working on my hose flashes in a few minutes.
My next project will be an Xkilt for my 13yo son. His will have more taper in it than mine, his waist is 25" and his rump is 35" so I will struggle with the tapering in his for sure.
Thanks for the help and answers to my newbie questions during the construction of my first Xkilt.
