Lost weight, need to "take in" my kilts

Does anyone know if it is possible to "take in " a kilt after you lose 4 waist inches?

I had a wool, Isle of Skye taken in from a 38" to a 36". No problem. However, 4" might be tough to do, although Barb T. has done it. Good luck!

It's definitely possible to take in a kilt 4" or more, by reducing the width of the apron and underapron. It just takes some time.

Lost about the same, gave mine away to a startup pipe band that wasn't picky about the tartan. They got what they needed, I felt virtuous and got to buy a new kilt as well.

It has some nice pics of just how much you can move buckles and still have a kilt look good - in this case, moving the buckles a staggering 10.5"!!!!. And the kilt still looks good! 4" is peanuts by comparison.
