Earthy tartan comes to California
Here are some pictures of my new kilt in Johnston weathered tartan. It's been quite an adventure getting my first "tank". Thanks to Celtic Croft for obtaining a somewhat obscure tartan. The hand craftsmanship by way2fractious is just phenomenal.
Robust hardware - it's a good thing!

Lots of pleats:

View from the side.

Happy kiltie.

W2F likes to make interesting linings.

Great looking kilt.
And if no one's going to see the lining anyway, why not be a little creative?

Wow that looks smashing! It makes me even more excited about my upcoming X Marks the Scot tartan kilt from way2fractious!
It's a handsome tartan and a well made (and worn) kilt.
Cheers

You realize, Panache, that you are going to have the only X Marks kilt with a pink lining, don't you? And W2F is good enough, it won't show unless he wants it to ...

Congratulations to all, including W2F, love the lining. Think I'll put it in the next kilt I make.
