Cool Kilt out of the blue! (and a rather bluish kilt at that)

    Hello all

As some of you may know I have had a pretty serious medical heart related incident that I'm recovering from. One of the things that has given me strength and better yet some genuine smiles has been the support of the wonderful friends I have. Now I had had a rather hard/bad night and one of the things that I focused on was that a friend of mine from Scottish Country Dance was unexpectedly in town from the UK. She is one of the those bright people with a smile that fills the room. Now she happens to have a thing for tartan and scours E Bay and thrift stores for finds. Before leaving the UK she apparently sorted through her tartan stash and found an Anderson wool kilt in my size as well as an Anderson kilted skirt for Star and another tartan item for the fabulous F-HCAG that words fail to describe properly-you will have to wait for a photo!

Her visit wasn't long but I was really cheered up and then the sun came out and the outside was warm for the first time in weeks. It was like she brought sunshine with her from the UK (which I know makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!). Anyway I felt better just sitting outside in the sun.

Today it was even warmer and The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I went for a bit of a walk by the perc ponds. It seemed a great opportunity to give my new Anderson tartan a spin.

Here are a couple of photos of me and my new kilt

Kind of a rambling post I know but after a lot of days of feeling pretty cold and gray it was nice to feel colorful and warm!

I do really "get by with a little help from my friends"

    Cheers

    Jamie

Since I am an Anderson it does my heart proud to see you in that kilt. As always, you do it well. Keep up the healing.

Absolutely beautiful kilt, and absolutely beautiful to see you outside in the sunshine and fresh air with the cute pup-dog! Well done, good friend-that-i-never-met!

Jamie: You look as dapper and handsome as ever. A beautiful Anderson and a very stylish outfit. It's great to see you out and about. Take care of yourself.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Least I forget, I am partnered in these photos with our Miss Angelina Niffles who has been a rather superb canine companion for my illness. She is willing to cuddle quietly with me for hours when I'm cold and shivering and equally ready to head down the trail. She is a cute yet sturdy little thing and a great comfort*.

    Cheers

    * She is also incredibly obedient as long as food is involved...

Great to see you out and standing tall and straight. Nice kilt, too.

Hang in there, all of you.

Nice! Looking good, Jaime. Your new kilt looks smashing and I'm glad that you are feeling better.

Your pooch reminds me of my little Morkie, Watson.

The colors on the tartan are fantastic. One of the sharper ones I've seen.
Excellent that you are up and about. Do take care, no relapses. You may not be a cat (9 lives)..
