Meadow Highland Games 2010 Pix
The weather was perfect for the Meadows Highland Games. One of my first visitors was MacDoc with Rada an exchange student from Moscow.
Opening Ceremonies
Rick, is the New England Commissioner for our Clan Society. He arranged a ‘meet up’ at the games of his family in four states to see his sister’s son in law off to Afghanistan next month. It was great to have them at the tent!
The youngest of Rick’s family.

Good craic!
Royal is getting into the Games. He wore a kilt for the first time and order a tartan one at the Games. I expect we will have a real recruit soon!
Rick presented me a sprig of berries of our Clan plant, the Rowan. Rick says we are men of Rowan!
A nice compliment to the dandelion, I say,

Thanks, Ern, for posting those pictures.
I enjoy the variety of styles of dress. Aside from Royal’s black kilt I noticed two Irish Nationals (with tricolor hackles) and a wonderful range of tartans. Then there were the T-shirts, tweed jackets, a range of headgear, and so on.
But the one I like the most was your grandson’s wee kilt and sporran!
And, oh yes, I like those rowan berries. Plant badges are great!
Regards,
Mike
