MT4Runner's trip to Butte, America for St. Patrick's Day
Took the 225mi drive to Butte, Montana for the St. Patrick's Day parade and festivities. My daughters had never spent any time in Butte, and St. Patrick's Day in Butte is a "must-do" for anyone growing up in Montana. With the holiday on a Saturday this year, we had to go!
I was 35 before I saw Butte on St. Patrick's Day myself, just last year, and I showed up after a work meeting, unkilted. I knew I had to return, kilted!
Couple of random revelers who wanted my pic, so I asked them for theirs as well!

Lots of people wearing SportKilts. This guy was in the CrossFit float:

I was blessed by St. Patrick. He said he would bless away my hangover on Sunday. He was right! (I didn't drink much)

I don't think anyone told this fellow his skirt is a bit high.

(The kilt hose I made out of an old wool sweater!)
This guy down the sidewalk from us had a beautiful full mask skunk sporran. The beady glass eyes looked a bit fake, but the rest was really, really well-made!

We drove over to Anaconda to hit their parade a couple of hours later. We were at the start of the parade, and the kids LOADED up on candy!
Sure, honey, you can wear whatever you want!

Looks like you had a great day. And I like the skunk sporran with that Buchanan sport kilt.

I was envious of his sporran.
I now have a skunk or badger sporran project in my near future!

It's the part where to have to catch one that is a bit tricky.
Thanks for sharing the great photos!
