    New sporran, new outfit

What seems like forever ago now I received my new sporran, Artificer's #9. It was painful admiring it every day without being able to wear it, but I finally got the chance today.

    First, the sporran:

If you haven't seen Artificer's thread about the design of this piece, you should check it out here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...y-start-59773/

You can see #8 here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...-no-8-a-60877/

The sporran is a real work of art. The leather is beautiful, the design is just what I was looking for, the stitching is flawless... even the way the gusset scrunches up inside is beautiful. It will be one of my most prized possessions.

Since I had so much time between #9's arrival and its debut, and since I had been reading Jock Scot's posts about matching, I decided to have a go at a different fashion statement.

Here are my Price of Wales tartan, a new tie I found with stripes of olive, maroon, gold, and blue, a tattersall shirt with navy and burgundy checks, and the lovat green jacket I picked up from Ruanaidh.

Here I am at work today showing off the new sporran.

Since the lighting seemed to spoil things, here's a natural light shot.

Very, very well done. And not at all Matchy-Matchy. Congrats on a great outfit! The sporran is just fantastic!

    Twin Brother

A Smashing sporran, and a equally smashing outfit.
I hope you don't mind me saying, that when I saw your pic, I did a double take and checked where you were from - I thought you were the Scottish Finance MinisterJohn Swinney.

Sharp looking outfit and the sporran compliments the attire. Looks as if you are as happy and proud as I am with mine (No 8) I really like the 2 button jacket you have and I think the tie, although it has colourings/tonings of the kilt. is bold enough to be able to say that you were not trying matchy matchy thing.

    Great look

That sporran is a great piece of craftsmanship. Having made several myself, I bow to my better! And your entire outfit is smashing.
