Lightbulb NEW Robert Mackie Balmorals on eBay

There are a lot of Robert Mackie Balmorals being offered on eBay right now, for around $25 shipped within the CONUS. I've already ordered mine!

    The eBay seller is: mikev385ap

I have no connection to the seller, and I'm only posting this hee as I thought it a great deal others might be interested in!

I'd've just spent $125 if that green Tweed came in my size, lol.

Thanks very much for the heads-up. I have a Lovat Green bonnet and 2 pairs of hose on the way (shipped to my son in California for delivery to Canada during their Christmas visit.)

Just received mine--Lovat diced--and I'm very pleased! It does seem to be slightly "shop worn" (maybe these are overstocks?) but it's still a fantastic deal for $25. I'm ordering a second now!

S'ok you're going to soak it in a creek, wind dry it and play soccer with it before you wear it... ;)

What a great thread--thanks for the link!

I received my dark green Mackie today, and it's gorgeous... I think both this and the lovat diced will receive the "worn in over a lot of wearing in all weathers" break in treatment!

    *sigh*

I kept coming back to this thread, wavering back and forth on whether I should pick one up at this very low price. The fact that they are described as new without tags made me pause (I don't know if Mackie Balmorals come with a tag inside). I kept thinking someone would holler out, "Wait! These are not Robert Mackie Balmorals - they're low-quality fakes!" But, alas, no one has done that. In fact, you guys seem pretty happy with them. So I finally threw caution to the wind and ordered one. It will, of course, get a good Jocking.

I too wondered if they were real Mackies, but at $20, and no other red flags, I also felt it too good a deal to pass by.

Which is why I asked my son to send me photos of the inside when he receives it (probably tomorrow.)

The only better deal I've found is the $7 second-hand diced navy-blue balmoral I found in Value Village. (That one really surprised me because it was what I was scanning the hat area regularly hoping to find and succeeded.)

As far as I can tell these are the real Mackie, but since I've never seen a(nother) Mackie bonnet in the wool, as it were, I might be wrong..... But if they can be identified as such by the interior, here are the interior shots of mine:
