    This is the kilt I found at the American Veterans Thrift Store (AmVet) a couple weeks ago. Doing research to learn about it lead me here to this fine forum. The hubby and I really enjoy thrift store shopping, it amazes us to see the things people discard.

    That's a great find Elizabeth. I would hazard a guess that its a dress tartan by he predominance of white and no doubt someone will chime in with the clan connection.

    It appears to be dress MacDonald to me from looking at pictures.

    It was a good bargain and then it was half off the tag price day, so it was a great bargain! Twenty dollar plus tax out the door.
