    R'lyeh Sett: Round Two- Poll

On this very auspicious day (28 FEB) the anniversary of C'thulhu stirring in his tomb and sending nightmares and insanity around the world in "Call of C'thulhu" I am finally opening up a poll for the second round of the R'lyeh Sett.

Please read the following instructions carefully BEFORE answering the poll questions:

If you are NOT actually interested in being part of this project, please do not vote- it will only skew results and goof things up for those who have expressed an interest.

    1) Answer ONLY ONE of the questions regarding material (Marton Mills PV, Wool, doesn't matter to you)

    2) Answer ONE of the colourway options.

At the end of the poll the "Doesn't matter" option will be awarded to the option with the most votes.

Please keep in mind that this is project is not a guaranteed 'go' unless we get enough people on board to make custom ordering yardage a good deal.

Also please keep in mind that these projects are very LONG term. International samples take a week or more to go back and forth. In addition, I'm trying to make the occasional sporran.
So don't make plans for this sett to be ready for your June wedding.

For reference, there is the "original" colourway (or as close as a new run can come, as 3 of the 4 colours were custom-dyed last time) as worn by our own Ryan Ross-

Attempting a darker version like the original computer generated version (we'll call it Modern)-

    Or a more weathered look-

This poll will run for two weeks, with results tallied on MAR15.

I voted "any material" (really, I just WANT one!). As to color, I voted "original," but had there been an "I don't care which one" option, I would have picked that. All the choices work, and.... well, really, I just WANT one. ;)

Thanks for setting this up, artificer. I can't speak for anyone else but a longer timeline works better for me; more time to save up for the yardage if it does come to pass.

I've been itching for some of the R'lyeh Sett tartan since I first saw it here a year and half ago. Unfortunetly the first run was already past due for me to get some. I would be pleased to get it in either PV or Wool. Either will be a 4 yard kilt as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for giving the idea of PV a thought. I know it's not the same as wool, but it could help make it more affordable for me... Though I'm getting that 4 yards one way or another. Just how deep am I digging myself that hole back home.

I'm a player for some in the Marton Mills PV. I think an easy care fabric is in order, because the revelation of the return of the Great Old One will be a busy time! Plus - Since I couldn't afford to get in on this the last time, I hopefully I can this go-round with the lower cost PV.

I'm definitely in for Dalgliesh wool in either original or modern colors. I'm not so interested in PV or weathered.

Count me in!!! DG wool in the original colors would be my preference.

After suffering a bit of a financial blow, I'm not going to contribute to the poll as it's looking unlikely that I'll be in on it.

I do want to point out, however, that if numbers are important, it may be wise to go with something different from last time. Were I sure of my ability to purchase some, I'd prefer the wool in the "modern" colours. The reason for doing something different is that you would almost certainly attract some of the folks that were involved in the first run, while that would be a bit more difficult if you simply did more of the same.

    Just something to consider...
