A slip for your kilt
I saw this on a FB post today. It seems like a good idea.

Not sure if this company/product still exists though. I remember seeing it a bunch of years ago, and the (C) on their page says 2005. Wouldn't hold my breath until actually finding out whether or not they're still in business.

This is much cheaper than a kilt liner, does the same thing, no lace.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Like what has been pointed out above, you're likely to run into problems with the length, unless you can trim it to size, or get one that won't show.

I personally really do not understand. Perhaps I do not have the same "issues" as others.

Shirt tails serve the same purpose. If I were to wear anything under a kilt though, a kilt liner would be it.

The issue is (for some), that you don't really care to have your kibbles & bits come into regular contact with your kilt. Could be for a number of reasons: hygiene - I change my underwear daily, so if my kilt comes into regular contact with my privates, then I would find myself laundering my kilt far more often... Or skin sensitivity issues. Those same kibbles & bits are rather delicate, and there's a reason why I don't wear wool underwear, shall we say.
So the solutions to the above may include (but are not restricted to): extra-long shirts, tucked into the kilt, and providing a barrier between you and the underside of the kilt, OR a pair of boxers, OR an under-kilt/slip, OR some other creative solution.
Again, clearly this is not an issue for some, but for those of us for whom it is, this is a good thread/discussion when it comes up.
Edit: I've never had much luck with shirttails. Mine are generally too short to be of any use (especially if it's a T-shirt rather than a button-down), and I don't necessarily always tuck my shirts in. But silk boxers have usually been my go-to, although I've never secured a good, reliable, continuous, INEXPENSIVE source for buying them on a regular basis. They tend to wear out quickly, especially if you wear kilts often.

the lengths (when in stock) are 19" (good for some contemporary kilts, like 21st Century Kilt which aren't your standard 24 drop) 23" which would suffice for a normal kilt, and I've never looked at 29" as it's unnecessary... as for the slit I guess due to the straight cut, I guess it's for women to line up with the slit in the back of their pencil skirt so said slip doesn't show or for ease of movement
Colours don't faze me as no one's going to see the thing... keeps your kilt clean and a little protection in case some joker tries to lift your kilt. It's not for everyone, but as said, either slips for less than a fiver each, or (often poorly made) 'kilt liner' for $$$ and shipping costs...
You're already wearing a 'skirt', so I can't see why no one has ever tried this... I don't have shirt tails that long, and why dirty your shirt? Sometimes the kilt is itchy so the liner is a god send for me
@tpa they re stock all the time, or just search ebay for 'M&S slip 23"' and someone will be selling them... or go to M&S and buy direct from source
