Neighbour,
Be it noticed that the biblical quotations did not make any mention of trousers, as they did not exist then and should not exist now.
The kilt was worn by real men long before the trouser was invented.
The writer of the web page needs to do his homework.

Someone should have him read the 1782 proclamation concerning the repeal of the 1746 act prohibiting Highland dress:
Listen Men. This is bringing before all the Sons of the Gael, the King and Parliament of Britain have forever abolished the act against the Highland Dress; which came down to the Clans from the beginning of the world to the year 1746. This must bring great joy to every Highland Heart. You are no longer bound down to the unmanly dress of the Lowlander. This is declaring to every Man, young and old, simple and gentle, that they may after this put on and wear the Truis, the Little Kilt, the Coat, and the Striped Hose, as also the Belted Plaid, without fear of the Law of the Realm or the spite of the enemies.
Robert J. Stewart apparently prefers "the unmanly dress of the Lowlander". Fine for him, I suppose.

This guy has obviously never learnt anything about the Roman empire either, perhaps if he was able to come face to face with a Centurion or someone of that ilk, he would change his mind

Read the book of Deuteronomy. He's picking and choosing, but won't admit it.
Ah, but don't we all...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

According to the writer, we lack refinement.
This person has obviously never meet Hamish.

Well, I'm both pagan and a semicompetetive fighter. If that makes me effeminate... then so be it.

I want to know if this guy's wife (assuming someone would marry him) or his mother ever wore pants.
KELLY wants to point out even though he's a stewart, he's no relation.

It really does prove that is better to be thought a fool than to open ones mouth(or in this case put it in print) and remove all doubt. Does he have no concept what the men in the old testament wore, loin cloths and tunics which certainly more closely resemble the short dresses that women wear today than anything he puts on his oh so manly attired body. I always find that its certainly better to just sprout rhetoric than to actually convey the facts and truth that happened in history.
