    Johnston & Morgan Wedding

Let me start by saying, this is what brought me initially to the kilt and X Marks. Some time last year, I was reading a thread on another forum, about a chap from Scotland who honored his mother by wearing her tartan. I knew nothing about tartan, but his mother and mine share the same maiden name. This combined with some recent discoveries about my ancestry and a wedding proposal, ignited the spark in my heart/mind.. I began searching out kilts via Google and was quickly drawn to The Scottish Tartan Museum, which just happened to be within the same state as me. This led to to Matt's site and wealth of information. I also found XMTS in my search, and began reading the information and opinions found within the threads. By the time I joined XMTS in September, I had already pretty much decided I wanted A Newsome kilt. Now I have not posted pictures up until now for several reasons. First, with the exception of a thrifty I purchased for trial while jonesing, This is my first kilt. Second, though I can do many things with a computer, being visually impaired, has not placed working with pictures high on my priorities list. Finally after nine months the time has come. I would like to thank Matt and all the X Markers for contributing to a most meaningful event. I do not think I have ever felt happier and more proud than on May 25, 2008. I may have more to say about it but as this is getting on in length, I will just post the link to my album for now. I have not excluded anything, so they are not all the best. Additionally, I decided what I was going to wear without adhearing too closely to tradition. It was not a traditional wedding and my aim was to honor my family and my bride while having a little fun. Ladies and gentleman, I give you Fox Albert Johnston and Marilyn Gail Morgan. http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/l...nston/Wedding/ Btw, somebody please tell me if I need to shrink these pictures. I just accepted the default upload size.

The pictures are just fine. Mazel tov on the happy event. I actually thought you looked very traditional, except for the sand and sunshine part

    Best regards,
