    Kilted in Formula 51

I recently saw a movie entitled Formula 51 in which Samual L. Jackson wears a kilt through the entire movie. This movies was set in the USA and England and was, in my opinion, a very good movie; action, romance, suspense, it had it all.

    Here's the summary from IMDB:
Elmo McElroy (Jackson) is a streetwise American master chemist who heads to England to sell his special new formula - a powerful, blue concoction guaranteed to take you to 'the 51st state.' McElroy's new product delivers a feeling 51 times more powerful than any thrill, any pleasure, any high in history. But his plans for a quick, profitable score go comically awry when he gets stuck in Liverpool with an unlikely escort (Carlyle) and his ex-girlfriend (Mortimer) and becomes entangled in a bizarre web of double-dealing and double-crosses.
I just wish I knew which tartan he was wearing in the movie, I haven't been able to find any information about the McElroy clan.

Glad you found that one! Rather enjoyable, if a bit crude (esp. in language). There is a good bit of kilt-related humor (esp. as the main character -Samuel L. Jackson- is an African American wearing a Scottish kilt in Liverpool.

There has been SEVERAL threads that talked about Formula 51 ("51st State," in the UK).
    Try a search.

Oh, I'll have to look for that one, thanks

I did a search for 51st State, and, wow! I didn't realise there were that many movie-related threads here. Good job everyone

It's the MacGillvray Hunting tartan. Even though McElroy is usually listed as a sept of Clan Grant (Just would've loved to see the Grant tartan on the big screen ).

This is probably why I had trouble finding it. Thanks for the info.
