    My New Harris Tweed Outfit

Here's what I received recently via Scottish Tartan Museum. I always worry about getting fitted correctly when ordering through the mail; so, I'm very pleased and relieved with the fit. Thanks, Matt!

I'm red-green color-blind, so if you have advice about colors, I'll listen. The kilt is my Buchanan Hunting.

Mind, I donned this with 99+ temps outside. BTW, that's a Ferguson Britt sporran that I also got from STM.

Well now, that's a very handsome bit of tweed indeed! Congratulations to you and a tip of the hat to Matt!

That is a perfect fit on the jacket! Sharp look.

I'm thinkin' match the hose with the leather and jacket, a brown tone, but there are better color guys than me here who can help.

Yeah, I see. And, a light-blue shirt instead of white?

Wow - that looks FABULOUS!!! What a handsome outfit! Sporran is exactly right for the ensemble, too.

I agree with the suggestion that you might try something other than a white shirt, although the white looks great. Pale tan might be good, but there are lots of "tans", and you might want to take someone who's good with colors with you to get the right shade.

I am a bit of a color person, Barb, and I agree, My suggestion would be to match the yellowish-orange stripe in the tartan, but stay just a smidge lighter than the actual stripe itssef. Then match it with a tie in the color of the similar sized blue stripe. Would pick up both accent colors in one fell swoop.
