Not Black Watch, but not too shabby
I have no idea about the weight of this stuff, but the price is pretty appealing. I believe it is actually another regiment, but can't be sure. Can someone identify it? Anyone local to this seller in the UK? Anyone have any experience dealing with them?

Thanks

Not sure of the tartan but it seems like it could be a good deal. I wonder what the weight is?
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

That's the Stewart hunting. You could get it cheaper in the U.S because the fees when it gets delivered here will be a lot.
If they cab't identify one incredibly popular tartan from another I'd not trust them.

For once I was able to spot a tartan right off. But Arlen is probably right, I think. It appears that they don't know what they're doing.
But if you do pursue, be sure to check out any added costs, as he pointed out in advance. And be sure to check with the vendor about the weight of the fabric. It kind of sounds like 8 ox or something.

It looks as if 5 metres of this and 5 metres of Royal Stewart will end up costing me about 8 pounds per metre. It may not be tartan at all, as it misses Hunting Stewart a little- this fabric has reds crossing on blue and yellows crossing on green. All of the examples of Hunting Stewart I can find have the reds crossing on green. It comes fairly close to MacLeod of Harris, only reds cross on green and yellows on blue there, too. What about Campbell of Cawdor?
I have learned not to count on sellers to identify their own goods. The more "off" they are, the more likely I am to get a bargain. Having said that, many, many, many people figure if it's blue it's Black watch and if it's red it's Royal Stewart. We can't all be experts in everything.
