Off to the Nutcracker
As promised, here's a photo of my lovely wife and me on our way to see the Nutcracker last night.
![](http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e185/DWMalcolm/IMG_0671.jpg)
I'm wearing my SWK Standard MacLaren kilt, a celtic knot thistle kilt pin from USA kilts, my DIY sporran (on a women's belt from Wal Mart--under $10), the kilt hose my sister knit for me as a wedding gift, and a brown belt from Amerikilts which is covered by the sweater I got from my grandmother last Christmas.
Last night in Missoula, it was -4 Fahrenheit with a windchill of negative 20. (For our metric members, that's negative 29 Celsius.) My knees were a little chilled by the time we got into the theater, but it was a great evening.
Happy Holidays Everyone,
David

Won't dwell on it, but my first reaction to this thread's title was:
" . . ![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif) ![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif) !!!!"
And then I said, "Oh, yeah, Xmas season, he means the ballet!"
Hey, really, glad it was a fun time! And the kilt looks great!

Don't worry, I had plenty of weight in my sporran to keep everything shielded from any errant cracking. ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

My daughter dances ballet, and will be performing in her dance school's production of the Nutcracker next weekend. After watching it for 13 straight years I feel like I know it about as well as the dancers LOL. You and your wife look very nice. Did you go to a professional show, or did you have someone in it?

Sharp look!
Used to live in Missoula in the late 1940s. First childhood memory is of a HUGE steam locomotive there.

It was indeed the Tchaikovsky ballet and it was put on by a local ballet company, the Garden City Ballet. It was great fun.
And thanks for the compliment on the hose. They're probably the nicest piece of clothing I own.
