Saturday turned out to be fine sunny day to be out kilted meeting the public. I arrived at Market Square in Old Towne Alexandria and took these photos of the activities.

There was entertainment!

The VA Scottish Games had sent up a tent as well as other societies and clans.

After Market Square I caught up with fellow XMarker Malcolm MacWilliams and his commrades of the 77th Regimentals. We enjoyed some good libations, conversation and Angus jokes; #32

It got to be time to kilt up for the fellows and I received some insights in donning the belted plaid.

We enjoyed a smashing evening at O'Connells. The 77th provided entertainment to the other patrons. For a round of beer Malcolm would play the flute with his nose! Thanks Guys for a Grand Time!

Wow, what a great day! I love the music making in the tavern. That must have been very much what it was like back in the colonial days.

THE MacKenzie and Castor ancestors (and the Hempsteads on the English side) were all patriots and it's so much fun to see your pictures of the re-enactors and get some little glimpse of how they might have looked and lived.
