a few Edinburgh pics
Just posted a few pics of a recent visit to Edinburgh.
The first one will be of interest to those who have asked about 'the heritage of scotland' vendor on ebay. The shop frontage is shown on the picture.

Rhino,
All those shots looked like you were having a ball.

Wonderful shots Rhino!
Great photo of the group and the Castle.
You just wet my appetite, for my September trip, by leaps and bounds.

Great pics Rhino!
They do make me sad though, because it doesn't look like I'll be in Edinburgh for the spring semester. Things are working out with my school.
You've got a great looking family, thanks for finally getting it on there for me. Looks like you've got some great lads, and should be a proud dad. Is Howie one of your sons, or is that Howie from TFCK? If that's TFCK Howie, I think that's the first pic I've seen of him with hair.
Wow, in that picture of Luke and the "scary" American girl, you can see absinthe on the menu. That was really weird to see, since it's banned in America.

Super pics. Rhino. You were fortunate! When in Edinburgh, I have NEVER been able to prise Howie out of his office. Oh, that's not true, he did invite me to dinner one evening but I was already booked for a group meal elsewhere!
By the way, what is that gorgeous-looking, bronze-coloured kilt Howie was wearing in the photo of the two of you in the bar? I'll have to speak with him about THAT one!!!!! (I don't see a smilie with a 'green-for-envy' face!)

Yes we had a great time, KML, you'll love it, I think I just miss you, if I remember rightly you're there around the the 15th and I'm there on the 8th.
Yeah you can get absinthe here but just soak wormwood in vodka, same effect.
Hamish I think the effect of Kai wandering round his office picking things up and saying whats this, what tartans that, I didn't break it, plus Luke saying well if I can borrow a kilt to see if I like it... plus it being Sarah's birthday, and mainly me saying we can go for a meal and a beer and I'll pay, finally moved him
The kilt in question is one I've tried on, it's a brown with yellow pinstripe and is part of a suit, I've got a picture of me in it somewhere, I'll try to find it and scan it and post it. It is a beautiful suit, in fact that and the picture of you in your charcoal pinstripe has inspired me to see about a jacket in London. I'm looking forward to it now
Graham, you too mate, you'd love it and I'm sure you'll get there before too long.
Cheers Rhino

Rhino, nice shot of the lot of you with Edinburgh castle in the back drop. I can't wait for my next visit to Edinburgh, I do love being there in the summer around the festival time. I am luck I have my Uncle living there so I have a place to stay whenever I go. I think I will be there in the next year or two.
As for the brown and pin stripe suit, man that's a pretty sweet outfit Brother. Very stylish indeed!
Cheers!

Thanks for that, Rhino. The brown/yellow pinstripe suit is brilliant! I've seen, and tried on most of Howie's creations, but he's kept that one from me. It is now on my "Must Have" list, so I'll be speaking with him about it in a couple of weeks. In the photo of the two of you in the bar, that kilt fabric looks like some sort of heavy silk - that's why I was intrigued.
