    Thumbs down Practikilt

I know I've mentioned Museum Replicas before...and their "kilt" sucks. But know...they have a Utilikilt knockoff called Practikilt. In the catalogue, they look like they have very little fabric involved in the pleats, but there are no good good shots on the website.

Anybody seen one of these in person?

There's more pictures in their catalog, and they do look as bad as you thought.

There's a little more about it on this thread.

wow....could the rip off be any more blatant? I mean at least there are more snaps so the UK "U" shape isn't as obvious. I have ordered a few swords from them and they are good quality...but that is just underhanded. you could have at least TRIED to hide the rip off.

Hey Guys! That's it! I have just been looking at the Museum Replicas range of kilts (yes, they do look like a poor man's Utilikilt) and I'd swear the 'Warlord' model in leather is what Nathan Fillon is wearing in the photo on page 3 of the neaby thread headed "Taking online abuse in stride" which I was reading a few minutes ago - the kilt Adam thought to be a TFCK kilt! It hit me straightaway.

Take a look at the arrangement of press-studs/snaps on the front apron and compare them with those on the kilt Fillon is wearing. They are identical.

Right! That's that one solved. What's next?

Ham, is that a picture of one of yours? if so, how about a review.

I am afraid it's not, Iolaus. There are 18 kiltmakers represented in my Kilt Kollection but Museum Replicas is not one of them - they are not even on my 'wants' list!

No, I 'borrowed' that photo from their website a short while ago.

While I admit that they look similar, I think these "Practikilts" have only been for sale for a couple of weeks, where as that pic is from last december.
