LA Anime Expo 2013

Time once again to take my daughter to the L.A. Anime Expo for her birthday!

D'oh! I don't have any photos of HER! As soon as we got there she ran off to do whatever teenage girls do when their dad isn't around.

I had a great time seeing all the crazy stuff there is to see.

Though it's an anime convention, I did happen to run into Daenerys Targaryen... luckily Khal Drogo wasn't around!

and I met the Doctor

and Steampunk girls

Now this was odd, a replica of a German MKIII tank sitting outside. For those military vehicle buffs, they had taken an M113 Armored Personnel Carrier chassis and welded on the replica tank top

But this isn't what Anime Expo is really about! It's about Japanese Anime. Here's how most of the people are dressed, as characters from anime shows or Japanese video games

The first picture reminds me that the grand daughter of the Chief of Clan Leslie acts as the wildling wife of jon snow, bit of trivia , great pictures.

Well I showed this to my wife and her comment for the first photo was "well he looks like the cat who has got the cream" and of the second photograph "wow - he's beautiful"... I just noticed that he was wearing clip on braces with trousers clearly designed to be worn with a belt... but clearly lacking in the belt department (jealousy is a funny thing!).
