Welcome from Georgia, but then North Little Rock is my home town, so a double welcome.
You'll find some very nice kilted rabble there abouts--met at the Irish down at the pub there--4th and Main, perhaps?--a couple years ago. Fine folks.
Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I lived on West D on Park Hill.

Hello and welcome from Houston, TX. For a couple of years, as a small boy in the mid-1960s, I lived in Malvern, AR. And, I have second-cousin McIntyres in Pine Bluff.

Here you are! I like the color, but I now see why 16oz wool is the preferred material... this 10oz acrylic is a joke. pajama makings.
I'm gonna order some tartan, probably Maclaren Weathered, and make a good one.... in the meantime, this will suffice for partying.

Regardless of Fabrics, cuts, pleats, weights, etc, this is the first time I've worn a kilt, and it's as advertised! I wore it all afternoon yesterday.

Hi, Hipbilly, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
Your sporran is great, and the fact that you are at last kilted is a great step forward.
All the same, not only is that material lightweight, but it can catch fire. At least you know what to look for when you get your next kilt.
Regards,
Mike
