Registration will close at midnight on the 29th of February. Any spaces remaining unfilled will be offered to the general population.

The cost for Kamp will remain the same as it in the past -- $350.00 USD or CDN as applicable regarding residency, even though this year's Kamp has been expanded to a full 6 days of instruction.

A closing date for 50% deposits has been set no later than Thursday, the 31st of March.
A closing date for full payment has been set no later than Saturday, the 30th of April.
(You may, of course, pay for the full course up front if you wish)

If you plan to order your fabric or supplies yourself I would strongly suggest you have your order placed with your weaver no later than the 1st of May.
If you plan to order your fabric or supplies from Freedom Kilts you must have your fabric and/or supplies order in no later than the 1st of May. Payments for fabric must be in full at the time of order.

Barb and I will post to this thread the requirements of our individual courses.
My wife Bobbie (KiltedKnome) is again serving as hostess and will post details with ideas for accommodations and food and drink not only at local establishments but what will be on site during Kamp.

Benning Boy and Argyle24 have had to drop out of this years Kamp.

That opens two spaces. One in the Machine Sewn Contemporary course and one in the Hand Stitched Contemporary course.

I do have a waiting list and will be contacting those people but I thought I should announce these openings in case anyone else really wanted to come to this year's Kamp.

We have a real treat for anyone attending Kilt Kamp.

The Royal BC Museum is hosting a travelling exhibit put on my The Field Museum, Chicago. It is called "Mammoth's Giants of the Ice Age".

Along with the rest of a very impressive exhibit is Lyuba. A 40,000 year old baby mammoth found in the Siberian tundra in 2007.

This is the first time Lyuba has been exhibited in Canada.

You may have heard about Lyuba or seen the story and articles done on this amazing find by The National Geographic. I never in my life expected to be able to see Lyuba herself. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
For anyone attending Kamp we will find a free afternoon and I will offer personally guided tours of our museum and you too can stand next to Lyuba.

For those who would like you can also see Piper James Cleland Richardson's Pipes.

And of course you get my famous talk on the poles made by the First People of the Pacific NW with an opportunity to see and touch these magnificent pieces of cultural history.

Kilt Night Planned during Kilt Kamp

A group reservation has been made for August 7 at The Fernwood Inn in Victoria for a "Kilt KNight" during Kilt Kamp. Other Xmarkers in the area are also invited, but it would be belpful if we knew approximate numbers (so we can alert staff at The Fernwood Inn.
