Winter kilt attire
Please post pics of your winter/cold weather kilting attire:
Although our current weather here in Calgary is unseasonably warm (+6 deg C) at the moment, these pics show my cold weather attire.
WPG 22 oz. kilt
Aran sweater
extral long thick kilt hose
insulated hiking boots
Mongolian fur hat
wool overcoat
gloves
(not shown - thick cotton boxers)
I have worn this outfit in - 30 deg C in comfort. For warmer days the fur hat can be replaced with my waxed cotton fedora and the overcoat left off.

Your winter gear is much more practical than the "snow coveralls" that children get at Wally-World. You seem to have an available range of motion added to your warmth. I like that.

Not an outside pic I'm afraid, but this is what is keeping me warm at the moment during a chilly spell.

This is the warmest combination. I have a heavier coat however.

Mike....I like the pleat shot! I would suggest some form of head wear and gloves....
We have some snow in the forecast for this evening ourselves.
Cheers...

Derek.... I know you have posted pictures of that kilt before, but please remind me what the tartan is. It looks great on you.

I have a good pair of gloves and warm hat but did not have them out for the photo. I also noticed one of the vertical set of white stripes should have been centered on the back. I must not have had the kilt aligned in the front. We have a forecast for snow on Sunday. The amount is still in question. Then single digit Fahrenheit lows first of the week. So it sounds like this kilt will get more use in the next few days.

I have similar attire for winter use, my down filled jacket, a fur trooper hat, heavy wool hose, side zip boots, and my "rubber ducky" boxers
Snow is coming tonight, maybe I can get a pic snapped...

A few days ago, only an acrylic kilt, but enough material to keep me warm:
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
