    The Solution to a Problem

I have several pairs of lovat green and lovat blue hose from Brewin that have shrunk, despite washing them in cold water, gentle wash and hang to dry. They seem to have felted.

Anyway, the result is they don't come high enough for a reasonable turn over.

The solution? Big Mikey's Original Hose Toppers. Mike made two sets. One green with blue, the other blue with green.

So now all I have to do is fasten a garter at the top of the hose and pull an Hose Topper over.

Wore them for the first time last night. Very comfortable and stylish, IMHO.

Thanks Mike! And BTW - the kilt is a USAK in Marton Mills 13oz wool County Antrim.

Those are very nice. A great solution to your problem, but they also look to be a great way to extend one's hose wardrobe.

Try hair conditioner on your socks next time you wash and before you (second) rinse them out try stretching them back to shape. I have a pair of wool hose I have to pull to shape every time I wash them. The conditioner relaxes the wool and has always pulled into shape.

Two great ideas and I already gave my shrunken kilt hose away to the local thrift store...figured young girls could wear them...

Course, now that I know a washing machine ain't the answer I haven't created anymore.
