    Some more of my carving

Hello all, I posted in the newbie area to say hello and put up a couple of my works there with a longer intro but here I will post a couple more of the pieces that I've made. I am a professional jeweler / sculptor of horn, bone, antler and amber.

I make powder horns and all manner of fiddly bits that have to do with items made throughout history of these materials. I am happy to talk shop or how to or is this possible. enough blathering on my part, I will just let the pictures say what they will.

#1 this is my scruffy self carving a large drinking vessel

#2 A VERY large amber necklace /pendant yes it is Huge !!

#3 A brass, silver and inlaid bone with amber drops necklace

#4 A large Tooled leather belt / girdle /kidney belt

#5 A picture of me in my medieval garb holding a very large drinking vessel i had just finished.

#6 4 pictures of a powderhorn now in london England In the collection of the Worshipful Company of Horners

    Wow.

That personal belt pouch immediately has me thinking about sporran possibilites...

The hair pin has me seeing kilt pin possibilities...

And in general... sgain dubh handles, fly plaid brooches... even perhaps sporran cantles.

You have a great talent and I think it's a style of work that will appeal to many kilted folks.

    :ootd:

    Thumbs up

Well my young friend I'm glad you finally got to put your pictures on the board.
They do look great. When we met in Sanford I knew you would do well here.
Keep posting and soon I hope we can get together and do lunch. I want to talk about some work I want you to do. Best Regards!
