Tattoos, anyone?
Well, I had seen mention of interest in a general Tattoo thread, but couldn't find one. So here you go. I know we have some rather colorful people here, myself included, and if you don't mind, I'd like to see your art.
(Remember, it's a family forum. )
I'll start.

Here's a close look at the Bees.

The full sleeves.
Part of starting this is my excitement at my impending trip. I'm going to Reno, NV for the National Tattoo Association Convention and Competition. I'm entering
3 categories and this is my first competition. Nervous, excited, you know how it gets.
Anyway, what have you got?

Yeah, I guess I'm supposed to chime in here.
This is my throat, goes all the way around. It was EXCRUCIATINGLY painful. It's kind of gnarly looking because the background had just been reworked when this picture was taken. The Irish banner is a nod to my Irish roots, which are heavy on my mother's side. There are a few Scots on my mother's, but most of the Scots are paternal for me. Hence the surname and all that.

This is a close up of the right side of my neck. THe background is pretty faded in this shot, as it was before the reworking seen in the first shot.

This is the left side. Same deal with the background. It's a heart shaped glass jar, half filled with blood. That's a piercing needle going through the center of it, with body jewelry in it and a cork on top.

This is EXACTLY what you think it is.

This refers to my sobriety and my choice to live straight edge.

So does this one.

Because The Beatles were the greatest band EVER.

This was our "shop tattoo". There were four of us in the tattoo shop in which I worked, we all had this tattooed on our hand. There's a lot of stuff going on in there that's tattoo related. Crossed tattoo and piercing needles, his "fez" is actually an ink cap. There's some green ink running down. The forehead reads "FIC" which is "Fantazee Ink Crew". Very meaningful to me.

These are just a few... I've got a lot more.

Well, as I am Irish by birth, Welsh by orthodontic training, and Scottish by residence, I have decided to be as ecumenical as possible:

Indeed there are many tattoo threads. I've posted mine before, but its the only one I've got so . . .

Its a few years old now. Too bad they can't keep that just tattooed look.
Best regards,
Jake

Here are four of my favorites:

This is my SWAT tat...It's my tenth year, so I will have an oakleaf added to the K-bar on top

This is a Tiperone Hammerhead to honor the guys I ran PSD with on the Shark Teams in Iraq - Never Forget the Brotherhood

Someone actually said "I didn't know Canada was established in 1959?" I said, "Yeah, it was just a plot of land till I showed up!" and walked away.

This one is my favorite and most recent tatoo...Thank you Jesus!

That's some powerful ink, bro. I am going for the full suit, basically, with the exception of my Airborne tat. That's the only ink prior to the bees I'm keeping, the only one with significant meaning.
