Anyone seen any black kilt hose?
http://kiltstore.net/sr_gaeli_k1500.html?:id=mGugojLx. Try them.
I picked up a black pair from Cyndi at the Thistle Stop
I just got a few in stock yesterday at the museum's gift shop. Give me a call at (828)524-7472 if you haven't already got a pair. They aren't that hard to find -- pretty much any place that stocks kilt hose should have them. I don't keep as many on hand as I do in other colors, because they are not as popular, but I do try and keep a few on the shelf. Aye, Matt
I had trouble finding nice heavy ones, but I finally found a good pair at the British Shop. The picture on their web site makes the hose look gray, but the label "Piper Hose Black" is spot on. They are truly black. And the price is right. Very nice, with a long top for double rolling, and thick enough that bare skin doesn't ghost through at the calves. http://britishshop.com/product_info....oducts_id=1611 If this link doesn't take you directly to the hose, go to the British Shop home page at http://britishshop.com/ , select Highland Wear, and then Footwear and Legwear. You'll see the Piper Hose - black (with a gray thumbnail) in the lower right. Barb
I have a pair and wear them quite often. I bought mine locally, but both www.scottishkilts.net and www.kiltstore.net have good prices on kilt hose.
Here's the web pic from the British Shop site. As I said, the hose look gray, but they are _really_ black (see the second pic). B
Try J. Higgins, I've done a lot with them, they always take care of me. www.jhiggins.net
I recently bought a pair on e-bay buy-it-now from W. Brewin, who advertise them there regularly. sales@wbrewin.co.uk Or you could wear black rugby socks. www.geocities.com/cessna152towser/
