Boating while kilted?
Anyone tried it? We are sailors and I'd love to go kilted in port/ashore. The problem, as I see it, is how to get ashore. We anchor and go about in a dinghy with an outboard. There is an awkward climb down a stern-mounted swim ladder, sitting in an inflatable boat (that will likely be dirty). I am afraid there is much potential for overexposure and possible soiling of the kilt (including submersion in saltwater; the worst-case scenario). And if we pick up the motor launch provided at some marinas....it's gonna be showtime for the passengers already onboard! I guess I can transport the kilt and dress onshore. Other ideas?
