Bought my wife a beautiful Scottish Tartan Hostess Skirt but...

Like all women she is on a diet, and lost about 2 inches from her waist. The Skirt is just like a Kilt with the buckets etc. It has the apron front and the pleated back. Can the waistline be taken in? I live in the Northern Virginia area, bought the skirt in Scotland, The Scottish Kilt Company, great people, but do not want to send it all the way back. First can this be altered, is it an easy alteration? Second any suggestions on who or where this could be done correctly?

    Thanks,
    Allan Collin MacDonald III

I had this same question not too long ago, and with the advice of this forum, had a seamstress move the inside belt back, and then the outside buckles moved back - essentially making the 'wrap' tighter. Very simple and cheap fix!

Indeed. Below is a link to a thread by BarbT regarding the process.
