Bridesmaids/Flower Girls with Tartan?
Upcoming nuptials for me next June. Second marriage for both of us.
As such only our children will be up there with us.
I'm kilted, of course. She and her 20y.o. Daughter are in white. My under 10 daughters also in white. I would like my daughters to have some tartan to match their Dad.
So, a fly plaid or a sash. What say you all?

Sash or a Rosette made from your Tartan would be nice.
Good thing about it being your wedding ,you can do what ever you want.

Yes a rosette in an option as is a tartan sash. Remember, keep the size of them in proportion to the size of the child! All the very best to you all.

Why not let them wear white dresses with a tartan panel insert. Perhaps front vertically or maybe diagonally
Have a look at the pictures of Lady Chrystel and Robert's children in other threads to see what I mean. It's a modern, classy look without the problems that can come with things pinned to dresses and dangling (or getting caught or knocking over drinks etc)

I think this is a great idea, and, if I remember correctly, Lady Chrystel used store-bought dresses and replaced one of the "panels" with tartan.
There's also the possibility of a tartan ribbon around the waist with a bow tied in back.
And a hearty congratulations to you!

You could have tartan "shrugs" made for your girls, to wear over their white dresses.
Here's a thought: since it's a second wedding, why not have the bride wear a color? Brides in colors look more "joyous", to me at least.

A friend made a wide tartan belt that does not have a visible closure. She wears it for dressy evening wear with a long skirt.

FWIW, when my wife and I renewed our vows on Iona in August of 2004 (25th wedding anniversary), our daughter and granddaughters had both sashes and rosettes. The rosettes were in my family tartan (MacMillan) and the sashes were in the respective tartans for their families.

Depending on their dresses, the suggestion of a tartan sash or ribbon tied at the waist with a bow in back would be lovely. A rosette would be fun, too, and both of these ideas would leave them with a keepsake from your wedding.
