Chafing...
I'm not too proud to admit it. I'm 'husky', have big thighs, am marginally knock-kneed and, depending on weather conditions (love the cold, hate the hot), I run the risk of chafing.
Talcum powder helps but I'm curious to hear what other members may do to fight rub rash. I saw 'Bodyglide' on Bear's site: anyone try it?

Sorry Rufus - just realized I didn't put this post in 'Kilt Advice' - please relocate when you get a chance.

Body Glide is good.
To ease the actual pain of chaffing, have an aloe plant handy. Snip off a frond and rub in the afflicted area.
Talc and various powders can actually make the problem worse. Use with caution.

BodyGlide is great stuff. I use it regularly and it certainly does prevent the chaffing. You can probably find it at a larger sporting goods store as well as on Bears site. I get it at Scheels.

I did a Google for Bodyglide and found the closest dealer. Great stuff!

I'm not Rufus but I am glad to help!;-)
Being of the "Husky" size myself I understand where you are coming from.
I just purchased some body glide and will be trying it out while camping next week. I'm hoping it works as well as I have heard.

I'm not even close to husky, and I appreciate Body Glide. It saved me while I was walking 20 miles a day for 5 months. I still slap it on when it's hot out and the boys are dragging.

I like the BodyGlide, too. Check out their site to find a local dealer. I bought my latest at REI. It was less than $8.00 for the LARGE size. Many running stores also sell it. I use it all the time, just in case.

The EMS by me doesn't have it, but REI does. along with the numerous bike shops around.
