First Ren Fair
So I have my first ren fair at the end of this month but I don't have any ren stuff. I did a little shopping around online but I would like to know where you good people get your things.
All I really need is boots and a shirt but I'm having trouble finding what I like.
Also I'm not sure if my black or weathered Makenzie kilt would be a better choice.

Kind of depends what you're looking for?
I get a lot of faire stuff from Ravenswood, http://www.ravenswoodleather.com/Shirts/index.html
their shirts are great, and reasonably priced.
you might look for some ideas over at the Renfaire forums;

I can also vouch for the Ravenswood shirts. I picked up two this summer and they are well made and very comfortable.

My first renfaire I wore a pair of old shoes and a old t-shirt, bought a shirt and boots from a vendor and threw away the old stuff. The vendors are there to sell so might as well but from them to support them. What ever you decide have fun
