    Of course on this side of the pond you can't wear that hat without carrying a huge magnifying class as well - it makes one think of Sherlock Holmes.

    For the record, I wear mine around Ottawa and no one says anything. Mind you that also means no one has admired it either.

    Great outdoors wear, shades your eyes and neck from both sun and rain all at one go. Not so good for detective work- brim gets in the way of clues.

    I will say that I've never liked the deerstalker with the kilt, so my opinion is that it doesn't go.
