Help!!
Gentlemen,
I am having a problem. I have ordered a kilt from Heritage of Scotland as they were the only store that offered the tartan I was looking for under $800. I have a military function coming up in December and wanted to speak with customer service to ensure things were moving along. I sent emails and have not received a reply. I called the phone number 44(0) 1312 266 603, and I get the message the number is no longer in service. Does anyone have advice, or information. I feel as though I may have lost the money. Help

The only thing I can think of is that they may be closed for some sort of holiday or vacation time.
The disconnected phone would worry me, I would have expected a message. Hope things work out.

Although they are closed now, (it's after 5.00pm here in the UK) the UK number rings out OK. I suggest you try again on Monday and try the USA number, though I'm not sure how you would do that from Korea.
From their website:

If the US one does not work, try +44 1312 266 603 or 0044 1312 266 603 which is what I would have expected to dial from outside the UK.

I am going to try to call again Monday. It may be how I am dialing. I am calling from Korea so that is problematic in itself. I will repost after Monday If I can t get through.

I ordered from them once & had a similar issue . No kilt , no response , no refund .

All,
Thanks for the great advice. I was able to make contact last night and they told me that it was at the weavers and is on track. I will see how this progresses, and post once I get the kilt in hand.

Persevere. They appear to be a profitable company with cash in the bank. I do not think they would deliberately court bad publicity or fail to deliver. I had some communication issues a few years ago, but it got sorted OK in the end.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I am optimistic, as I said I spoke with the fella at HOS, he wasn't the liveliest bloke but he did answer my questions and calmed my worries. I will see how it turns out hopefully soon enough.

Bearing in mind the old saying that you get what you pay for, I have found them a reputable company and the only time I had a problem with an order I got a full refund including postage.
