Help dressing up a kilt, please?
I may be wearing my kilt over xmas at the families houses, which would mean I'd be in my Royal Stewart (I might try the 'asking for a SWK for Yule trick though) which I guess is rather 'festive' colored. I figure that means I ought to try to dress it up a bit.
That being said, I am thinking of going the 'soccer socks' route, (off white or dark green) with flashes. First problem, I can't seem to find any thready stating in words just where they are supposed to go. (Yeah, I know, on the legs...) as in to the front, outsides, etc.
Second, is it better to use a sweater or a button down shirt for the shirt? Or is it more of a 'try it on at the same time and just go with whatever looks decent'?
(I'd much rather have a Black Watch for that, but I ordered the Royal to go with my Halloween costume. Which I still need to get the pics from my wife)
