Hose and garters
I know this will be a lot of personal opinions, but that's what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for color combination for hose and garters for the up coming Burns Supper. I'm wearing a black Argyle with vest and tie and white shirt.....that's easy to spruce up, but my question is about the color that would look best with the Boyd modern tartan. (Lots of red and green)
Thoughts?

IF you choose to tone in (don't try to match, please) then you might want to set off the hose with something off-match. Example: claret coloured hose to pick up the reds without matching them and then mustard or grey garters for a splash.

I would go with forest green hose and mustard garters, or the reverse.

That would be a good combo. I already have green hose! Just need the garters. That's cheaper!

I have only one set of flashes, darkish blue and I find that they go with various shades of green, yellows, reds and my favourite choice, claret hose. This formula has worked for me for the last three decades, or so. I would not get too overworked about thinking about all this, if I were you.

Thanks Jock. I'm not terribly worried about it. I feel like I dress well kilted, I'm just looking for some "less common" combinations. Some of you have wonderful style and I thought I would ask. Besides, I thought it would be a great excuse for new hose and garters!

Looks like claret hose and mustard garters, maybe some navy ones as well, are soon to be ordered.

If you already have red garters they would do fine as well. I have numerous garters, but my red ones get worn the most. They go with most of my outfits.
