Oy. (That was really all I wanted/needed to say, but we have a "ten letter minimum." REALLY?)

I've had mornings like that, but it usually involved significant quantities of medicinal alcohol the previous evening.

At least he's being consistently military in his choices. . .
It's a pity, though, that a thing once seen cannot be unseen. It's almost enough to make me want to put out my mind's eye.

I'm pretty sure I've never been that drunk!

I'm pretty sure it can be unseen, best demonstration of this can be seen in the picture you would like to unsee. Or we have found the one person who has never seen a kilt worn properly.

One might say he's "a** backward"! I wonder if that is the origin of thhis expression. Beautiful kilt and sporran nevertheless.

That happens. As Ron "Riverkilt" would say, to someone who doesn't know it's almost logical to sit on the flat part of the kilt.
I once went to a "mixed" (Officer and SNCOs with wives/girlfriends) hogmanay ball in our mess where we were, for once, allowed to wear civilian clothes and not obliged to wear "mess dress". I decided to wear my THCD and one of our junior officers decided he wanted to try the kilt too. He borrowed the gear from one of our scottish SNCOs and came into the mess (I was already there) proudly wearing the kilt back to front. I quickly put him right but it goes to show that "backwards" kilt wearing does happen.

Looking carefully at the photo, I wonder if it's just possible that he is not wearing the KILT back to front. This may be a rear view of him wearing the SPORRAN back to front. (This is probably the silliest post of the day - sorry!)

I can definitely tell it's a backside view because of the elbows showing. He/she just has the sporran turned around to the back. Maybe a drummer. The odd thing to me is the length of the kilt, which looks like it's halfway down the calves.
