Kilt Maker in Utah
I am in need of a kilt maker. I bought the tartan for my family kilt a couple of years ago and the lady that was going to make it for me ended up not being able to. Anyone know of someone in Utah I could have make it?

I don't know anyone in Utah, but a bit outside the state in Albuquerque, NM is Kathy Lare. She's about a 5-hour drive from the border. For details see

She makes beautiful kilts.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Unless it's important to you for some reason, it's not necessary to have your kiltmaker be local. For the time and expense aspect, I prefer that my kiltmakers be in-country, but cross-country is no problem.
Find the right kiltmaker for you, regardless of location.

its mainly for time and money purposes, that is why I am looking for one local but I have no problem sending it out of state.

New kilt
I have two Kathy Lare kilts and believe she is one of the best in the business. It takes two or three days of shipping each way across the country so time is not a big issue. I know for certain she welcomes customer supplied tartan, but she has some restrictions on what kind of material she is willing to use/put her name on. Give her a call or send her an email, she is wonderful to work with.
Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming kilt!

All the above compliments are the reason I own 12 kilts that Kathy Lare sewed up. Worth including her in your search.
There may be some kiltmaker somewhere in California too....?

Kathy Lare
I can not speak highly enough of Kathy Lare! Her quality is superb, her prices are fair. On top of that, she is a nice person
