    Kilt search for a wedding

Hello, My best friend is getting married in August. Her husband to be is wanting a kilt that is more of the rugged Scottish Warrior or Outlander/Braveheart style look. We are based in the Scottish Borders so i'm wondering if anyone could point us in the right direction of a place that does kilt hire that is a little less traditional? They have had a look themselves but they are finding it quite difficult to find anything and I happened to stumble upon this forum. Can anyone help? Many thanks!

If you're looking for somewhere in Scotland you might try Houstons of Paisley ( www.kiltmakers.com ). They are traditional but they've also catered for the 'jacobite' look for at least 20 years. Either they'll have what you want or they'll point you in the right direction.

I think what you are looking for is called either a "Belted Plaide" or a "Great Kilt".

A search using those names may yield more results.

One of our advertisers carries them - https://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/produc...s/great-kilts/
