    Kilted golfing

Has anyone given the kilted golfing thing a shot? I've got a kilt and sporran coming from Stillwater that I would feel comfortable wearing out to a super causal thing like that (I can't I aging wearing one of my tanks to a golf course in this Florida heat). I was going to wear it with a normal golfing shirt and some sort of head gear.

Any suggestions/comments? Would wearing normal kilt hose be a good idea?

When I look at the photos on the sportkilt.com web site they have (what seems to be) hundreds of photos that customers have sent in of them Golfing in a kilt.

This last thanks giving my friends, and I had lunch at a CC and as I walked into the dining room for lunch, I was asked to come back later, and tee off in front of the CC dining room in my kilt. It seems that the golf shirt, or polo shirt with a "casual cut" kilt, is 100% appropriate, and (it appears to be) envied on every photo that I've seen of kilted golfer.

Have a great time. There couldn't be a more appropriate place to be kilted than a golf course.

    . I'm not a golfer but...Scottish sport...Scottish national dress...

Do the maths there and it seems to equal 'go for it!'

Knee high solid colored soccer socks make a good alternative to kilt hose in southern summer heat.

I am no golfer, but one of our members here, Forrestermodern, a keen golfer I think, had an interesting time here in Scotland on one of our more famous golf courses and had a bit of a tiff with the management over him wearing the kilt out on the course. Personally I think it was his flat cap that caused the rumpas and was nothing to do with the kilt, but Jeff insists otherwise.

I would have totally never thought of the soccer socks but it makes complete sense when you think about it. I'll be heading to sports authority today to look for some.

I regularly wear a kilt golfing, normal kilt hose (but then we don't consistently get your heat), golf/polo shirt and no sporran on the course. In the summer I wear a hemp Rkilt, otherwise a regular kilt.
