    Kiltmakers ID on ebay...

I found this Argyll jacket on eBay. Anybody have any experience with this seller? Thinking that the price sounds very good, and feedback is good.

Graham or Bryan, how does this compare in price to your recent purchases from Scottishkilts.net? I know that it does not include the waistcoat.

    Thanks!

IIRC, the posted price for jacket and vest from scottish kilts was $292, before exchange rate variances, shipping, and a couple of pairs of kilthose I bought at the same time were added on. I (obviously) can't speak for the seller on e-Bay, but the turnaround time on Scottish kilts was nothing short of wonderful in my opinion. Workmanship appeared good: no unfinished seams, buttons all properly aligned and well attached, only one or two stray threads (on the left cuff and under the collar). The lining and back of the waistcoat have a subdued thistle motif imprinted/embossed (I just don't know the right terms-sorry KCW) on them, but you've really got to be looking for it. I think the ScottishKilts jacket by itself is listed as $242, so this sounds to be at least competitive.

Bryan...let us know what you do...

Actually, here's the link for the Argyle jacket at scottishkilts

    http://scottishkilts.net/products/sc...ll_jacket.html

You can compare for yourself and see if they're the same (or at least close).

Bryan, thanks! Your technology skills are progressing wonderfully!

I actually had a few minutes and was able to find the jacket and waistcoat on Scottishkilts.net. It looks like they charge $224 for the jacket by itself. So this looks to be a good deal. I also compared the picture there with the one on eBay and they actuall appear to be the same jacket, the only differences seem to be with the actual quality of the picture. Might check the seller's return policy and go from there since I really need to start following my budget for these kilt accessories. Luckily, my wife likes the look of this jacket.

    Well,

I got the jacket for GBP 68.50, which is about US $120. Airmail shipping added another us $30. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Will let everyone know the quality and the performance of the seller.
