Leg trauma and kilt-wearing
For reasons I can't get into on this forum, as I limped to work this morning, I thought of this question for the rabble:
Do you still wear a kilt when your legs are all bruised, scraped and banged up?
(I think I may be waiting a while before I put on a kilt again). What says the rabble?

LBJ showed off his scars to the general public. If you wear your kilt and show your wounds, you will have to answer twice as many questions.

Sports injuries right? Nothing wrong with that, sport is good... And with a kilt to just above the knee and hose to just below the knee what's there to see? Kilt on CDN...

I'd say having been through the same type of thing you went through a little while ago, I wish I'd worn a kilt back then, it would have been much more comfortable than trying to put a pair of pants on.

Haha! In a manner of speaking... No, being in Japan exposes me to all sorts of *ahem* interesting situations. I was actually attending a festival when, in the process of trying to get some good pictures, tripped over and onto a nasty tree stump, which did quite a number on me (combined with the fact that I'm still marked up from my scooter (motorbike) accident from two weeks ago)... I look like I came from a war zone.
The reason why I can't get into it is because this is a family-friendly forum and the festival in question was, to put it politely, a Shinto fertility festival and as much as I'd love to share my pictures with the rabble, many of them involve uhh... depictions and effigies of... well... naughty bits.

All the more reason to wear a kilt.
It was being on crutches due to torn ligaments that first got me into wearing a kilt as everyday work wear.

Cripes, wear the kilt! Your kilt hose should pull up and cover most of the scabs and bruises. Any odd bluish/green stains on your legs you could say that the caber jumped back and smacked your legs during the most recent highland games and Shinto Shrine blessing event.
